Introducing Aaron Goodnow

I am the founder and director of Yoga Belly, which consists of my private practice and training programs, along with one other business initiative: Men of Yoga , located in the Mountain View, California. My professional, creative, and academic work reveal a love for self-expression and a desire to help others by sharing the gift of yoga. I believe in our inherent ability to open the door to truth and light at any age and transform obstacles into sources of love, light and enlightenment.

I believe deeply in living what you preach, and continue to pursue my best life by incorporating new yogic tools and applying a practical approach to health and wellness. As a Graduate at Ease Mountain Yoga Therapy I continue to walk the path of happiness and vibrancy while continuing to improve my skill sets as a Therapeutic Yoga Practitioner.

My past work at Big Tech Companies in Silicon Valley helps shape my practical approach to self-care in crafting a process around living my best life. Working accountability and process improvement into every step of the self care process. I’ve taken a non-traditional approach to education and mindfulness in my life and have constructed a way of living around Yoga and Meditation practices that I share in my classes, workshops and teacher training alongside my husband William, also an amazing Yoga Teacher.

I work in the therapeutic yoga space as a Yoga Therapist and E-RYT (experienced) Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance and the California Association of Therapeutic Yoga Practitioners with a focus on the use of mindful movement practices, embodied presence, emotional intelligence, breathwork and guided self-inquiry as healing tools. I specialize in connection with the LGBTQ+ community, low moods, stress and dealing with the impact of a conservative religious upbringing. I am a cancer survivor and understand what it takes to rebuild after a major life trauma

Mary Lynn Fitton was my first yoga teacher, founder of the Art of Yoga Project. I studied to become a yoga teacher with Linda McGrath at the 200-hour level and continued to study with other amazing teachers like Jill Miller (Yoga Tune-Up) and Denise Druce (Yoga Assets). I am co-lead for the Yoga Belly 200-Hour “Be Your Own Yoga Teacher” and advanced training 300-Hour "Be Your Own Yoga Master" training programs alongside my husband William. I studied with Ease Mountain Yoga Therapy under the direction of Dr. Juko Holiday.

I am a Star Wars nerd and comic book enthusiast. I love music, travel and maintaining a close circle of friends. I have worked hard to develop a life that I love and I would love to share that secret with you.
